Feeling majorly relieved now that I've completed my art diploma! Finished it just the day before the dead-line (typical me procrastinating). Maybe if I hadn't made it I would've learned my lesson once and for all...the concept was 'how is the influence of Middle Eastern fashion visible in Western fashion?'. Sadly I'm not a hundred percent happy with the outcome, and I'm starting to think I could've done so much more. I def should've gone deeper and made it a bit more interesting... Anyways, I just bought a bunch of CDs at Amazon and luckily did receive all of them (shopping online is never a safe option but the prices are waaay too good to resist). Below are some of my favorite tracks, take a listen! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Wearing new top from MONKI. Just can't get enough of lace...probably gonna party in this piece (together with my hat ofc) on friday at the Skins Party. Reminds me a lot of something that Effy from Skins would wear.

Heading out with Vilma, Niklas and Emilia to watch these guys perform at k.l.u.b.i. I'm really excited to finally see them live, I've heard they're pretty good! The only thing that's bothering me is the snowstorm that's currently raging outside and a cozy night at home sounds quite tempting too...but there's no way I'm gonna let some stupid weather phenomenon stop me from going! Wish you all have a lovely night!

Took some snaps as my brother was getting ready for his very first school dance (kind of like prom but not exactly). I gotta say sometimes he's so much fun, but at times he's such an asshole. And in honor of his momentary stupidity here's a random video of him eating a sandwich. Enjoy what you're about to see.

I can still remember this day like it was yesterday. It was early on a Saturday morning in august. With my camera bag and our breakfast packed and ready to go me and Jenni headed to this small private beach to take some photos for my portfolio. The air was warm and the rising sun and the heavy mist that covered the ground looked breathtakingly beautiful. It was the perfect day for a photo shoot.

After looking at these photos I wish from the bottom of my heart that it was summer again! It's a big shame that my favorite season of the year only lasts a few months here in northern Europe. But when summer finally comes again I know I'll make the most of it! Only about 200 days left till I'll be able to take a dip in the lake nearby, lay in the sun for many more hours than recommended and eat ice cream.

I've been thinking a lot about relationships lately. In particular the kind of relationships that involve emotions of strong affection for another person. Basically, love. I've never sacrificed much of my time for such relationships, and I have never in my life dated anyone. And because I've never really thought much about it I now find myself in a difficult position. I feel like I don't know how to handle these kinds of new emotions due to my unfamiliarity with them and it's pretty much driving me crazy. Also I haven't quite figured out yet how you know whether you've fallen in love with someone or not. I'm kind of having these conflicting thoughts and I'm not sure what conclusion to draw of everything. My friends keep telling me not to think about it that much and stop over analyzing. 'Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.' I get the idea and all but for some reason in practice it's really hard for me to just do so. I wish my mind wasn't this tricky...but what frustrates me the most is that many of my friends seem to have it so easy when it comes to stuff like this. But I guess it also has something to do with your personality and your way of dealing with things. Anyway, I'm sure many of you have at some point of your life been in the same situation. Any good advice? I'd totally appreciate it and I'd really love to hear about your experiences. Wow, this got deep...I'm gonna stop before making a complete fool of myself. Later on I'll probably regret writing everything publicly like this...

Some photos from last weekend, which was awesome! Met up with some of the sweetest girls I know and had a great time. One of these lovely ladies turned eighteen yesterday = there was a party. I would've loved to stay longer than just a few hours but another friend of mine was hosting a wine tasting party (which was more or less sophisticated) the same night, so I left earlier. And all of this is backfiring today, which is a bummer, cause it's close to impossible to do maths when your head is pounding like this... Also I think I may have caught a cold...

I never thought I'd actually have the balls to do this, but I did and now half of my hair is gone! After one month of consideration and hard thinking I came to the conclusion that getting my hair cut would be a good decision. And it was, even though at times I feel a bit naked without my longass hair. But I like the way it is now. Besides, short hair has so many pros. I'm so looking forward to not having to spend 5-10 minutes washing it, plus when it's windy it doesn't blow all over the place like long hair does. It will take some major getting used to after having long hair for so many years, though. What do you guys think of my new hair? Thumbs up?

It's almost terrifying how fast time passes when you're busy. But I've had a helluva good time, that's for sure! And after all that's what matters the most. But there are downsides to being busy too. For instance, I don't have time to write in my blog regularly, which is a shame. And I'm afraid this weekend won't be an exception, since it's already full booked with two photo shoots and a reunion with my old friends form high school who I haven't seen in a very long time.

The photos above were taken at our halloween party last saturday. I'm pretty sure we made the sickest drink ever. Dry ice can work some wonders. I'm curious, what did you guys dress up as for halloween? Obviously I was a vampire.

HAT - MONKI    |    TUBE SCARF - H&M    |    KNIT - MONKI    |    PANTS - H&M

My outfit form last Wednesday and a brief summary of this week. I've always thought that I'm a fairly good cook. This Thursday, however, I discovered that my impression of myself as a cook is terribly wrong. Somehow me and Emilia managed to burn our pasta (= the worlds easiest food to prepare) as we were cooking dinner. This has never happened to me before so I'm assuming me and E are just a disturbingly bad equation. Luckily I don't suck as much at photography! On friday I managed to take several stunning photos of E as we were on our outdoor adventure in a nearby forest. But of course the fact that E is a gorgeous woman helped out a lot! She didn't have to do much in order for me to get a good shot. Haven't had time to edit the photos yet because of all the school related stuff that I've also had to deal with, but I promise to post them asap! Other than that I've enjoyed the sunshine which felt incredibly awesome after an excessively long period of nothing but rain and gray skies. I sometimes do wish Finland was placed somewhere nearer the equator...

Hello darlings! Honestly I didn't expect the last year of high school to be quite this tough (quite the opposite actually). I've been terribly busy with school related stuff lately, but I still somehow always have managed to find some time to write in my blog (though in the last months, I do admit, it hasn't been very often)! Anyhow, I don't want you to think that I've abandoned this blog, because that is definitely not the case! I'm very sorry to inform you, though, that all I have to offer you for now is a possibly boring post of what I've purchased in the last couple of months (because everything else that has been going on in my life has either been very uninteresting (like school) or/and unsuitable to be shared here). But yeah, here I give you my latest purchases! Hope you like them as much as I do.

Oh, and by the way, there's this photography contest that Rajala is organizing and naturally I took part in it, so what I need you sweet readers to do is to go vote for me here (it's really easy, you don't have to register or any of that shit, you just click at the '+' below the photo and that's it! Takes like two seconds!). You have no idea how incredibly much I would appreciate it! If all of you guys would vote for me I'd already be placed in the top 10, so each vote really does count! The prize is a Canon EOS 600D and a photography course. Kisses and hugs, I don't say this often enough but I really do appreciate your support and I'm so glad that people actually enjoy reading this!

This week was probably the most fun one I've had in a long time (if you don't take the beginning of the week with the exams and all into account)! Getting my mind off all the stressful things (=school) really helped me relax to the max, which included eating awfully lot of unhealthy but ruthlessly delicious food, listening to some of my favorite music and hanging out with my awesome family. And of course celebrating the end of the exams out in the night with my friends was tons of fun too! An unforgettable weekend to sum it up! Especially the Skins Party on friday won't be fading away from my mind anytime soon. It was mental. Besides, dancing two hours non-stop is a good work out too. But the photos above have absolutely nothing to do with my awesome weekend. They're from my cousins wedding from two weeks ago. Thought I'd share these with you guys since I currently don't have anything else to offer! Hope you had a lovely weekend as well!
